Katharina Beste

Since January 2024, Katharina Beste is working as a student assistant at RIFS in the "Democratic Governance and Agency" research group and supports the project "Regional Sustainability Transformations". Since October 2023, she has been studying sociology in the Master's programme at University of Potsdam, focusing on gender sociology and political sociology. Previously, she completed a double Bachelor's degree in Sociology and History at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and wrote her thesis on the emergence of protest spaces based on the practice of urban space appropriation by urban gardening projects.
